Get Started

Learn the fundamentals of kiteboarding in a safe and supportive environment. Perfect for beginners, this program focuses on safety, kite control, and body dragging—key skills for building a strong foundation in kitesurfing.

Experience the latest in instructional technology with Bb Talkin’ Action Sports intercom helmets for faster learning and better communication during your lesson.

This program emphasises kite control and safety without the board. Learning to fly the kite while body dragging is the safest and most efficient way to build confidence and master power control.

What you will learn:

  • Analyse wind conditions and site safety.
  • Set up a kite and lines properly.
  • Launch and land a kite safely.
  • Pilot the kite on the beach in the neutral zone.
  • Use safety systems to disable and retrieve the kite.
  • Relaunch the kite from the water.
  • Pilot the kite off the shore, transitioning from the neutral zone into the power zone for body dragging.
  • Complete body drag runs with power dives (approx. 3 runs per student in the first lesson).
  • Walk the kite in the neutral zone back up the beach.
  • Pack up the lines and kite for easy setup next time.
